What is the Caledonia Marketing Collective?

The Caledonia Marketing Collective was established in May of 2008 as a result of the Business Retention and Expansion Caledonia (BREC) project. Through the BREC interview process, marketing was rated important; with 90% of Caledonia businesses indicating that local market development was crucial in ensuring that they remained competitive and 85% citing a need for low cost joint marketing opportunities. Caledonia Marketing Collective is a group of local business owners and managers whom have come together with the purpose of planning and executing marketing initiatives and special events that will strengthen the local business community and contribute positively to the community as a whole.

Current initiatives include the Get it Card program which targets local market development by encouraging residents to shop locally and to also create an awareness of products and services offered in Caledonia. The goal of the Get It Program is to drive existing and new customers into local businesses through offered discounts.

Plans for the 3rd Annual Caledonia Stampede Days are also in progress. Stampede Days 2010 will be held August 13, 14 & 15.

The Marketing Collectives meetings are open to all interested Caledonia Business owners and managers, and will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, 8:30am, at the Grand Trunk Station.
